Mauricio and Mikayla met at New Mexico State University in 2018 and quickly became best friends who shared a love of music.

Not long after, Mikayla and Mauricio started dating and began to share more of their life with each other. They spent too much money on concerts (with no regrets). Adopted a dumpster cat (Garfield). And moved across the country to their favorite city (Seattle, WA).

They packed a lot of life into 5 years, but it was enough time to know they wanted to spend the rest of it together.

On their 5th anniversary, Mauricio planned a special surprise: dinner at the top of the Seattle Space Needle. Dressed in their finest, they enjoyed a 3-hour luxury meal with too many courses to count. While enjoying the view, Mauricio popped the question and Mikayla said, “Yes!”

Now, they’re riding the waves of engagement bliss and counting down the days to say, "I do," surrounded by their closest friends and family.
